The Prognostic Value of Serum Malondialdehyde Levels in Myocardial Infarction Treated By Streptokinase

Recerıtly, malondialdehyde(MDA) has emerged as a marker and mid- product of lipid peroxidation caused by free oxygen radicals. In order to investigate the peroxidation damage of thrombolytic therapy, we seperated fifty patients who had had acute myocard infarction infarction into two different groups. The first one consisted of the patients who had received thrombolytic therapy and the second the patiens who not. We took their serums for MDA measurements at 0.,2.,6.,24. hours. And then we had followed up the patients in wiew of prognosis, left ventricular measurements, wall motions and diastolic function parameters by Doppler echocardiogram. Finally we compared the results between two groups. But the MDA levels in patients from patients who had received thrombolytic therapy had been higher at 2. and 6. hours.(p: 0.01 and p: 0.02) However we could not find any statistically significant difference between the two groups, in view of prognosis, lenf ventricular measurements, wall motions and diastolic function parameters.

Streptokinaz Uygulanan Akut Miyokard Enfarktüsünde, Malondialdehit Düzeyi İle Prognozun İlgisi

Malondialdehit (MDA), serbest oksijen radikallerinin sebep olduğu lipid peroksidasyonunun bir ara ürünü ve göstergesi olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Biz akut miyokard enfarktüsü geçiren toplam elli hastayı, trombolitik tedavi alanlar ve almayanlar olarak ayırdıktan sonra 0,2, 6 ve 24 üncü saatlerde serum MDA düzeylerini ölçüp, 4 aylık izlemle prognoz, duvar hareket bozukluğu, diyastolik fonksiyonlar açısından taldp ederek, MDA düzeyleriyle bu parametrelerin ilişkisini değerlendirdik.Akut miyokard enfarktüslü (AMI) tüm hastalarda MDA düzeyleri yüksek bulundu. (p=0,01; p=0,011) trombolitik tedavi alan hastalarda 2.saatte daha belirgin olmak üzere (p=0,011) 6.saatte de MDA (p=0,02) düzeyleri yüksek bulundu. Ancak MDA düzey farklarının prognoz, sol ventrikül (LV) ölçümleri, hareket kusurları ve diyastolik fonksiyon parametreleri üzerinde istatisiki açıdan etkisi anlamsızdı.
