Scientific Evaluation-Process of The Journal of SSK Tepecik Teaching Hospital: The effect of the time- duration in the evaluation-process.

In this study, we evaluated the relationship between peer review and delayed publishing in 48 paper which admitted to our journal in last two years. Editorial-reply period was 103 days on average. peer reviewer-reply period was 26 days on average. Author's reply was 54 days on avarage. So the complete publishing-process took 11.7 months on average. So the compiete pubiishing-process took 11.7 months on average. These results show that the peer review period of a paper is less than 50 percent of overall publishing process is the main cause of delayed publishing in our journal.

SSK Tepecik Hastanesi Dergisinin Bilimsel İnceleme Süreci: 1. Bilimsel İnceleme Sürecine Zamanın Etkisi

Bu çalışmada son 2 yılda dergimize başvuran 49 makalenin inceleme sürecinin zamanla ilişkisini inceledik. Editör yanıtı ortalama 103 günde, incelemeci yanıtı ortalama 26 günde ve yazar yanıtı ortalama 54 günde sonuçlandı. Yayınlama süresi ise 11.7 ay idi. Bu sonuçlar çift hakem okumalı bir dergide bilimsel inceleme sürecininin yayınlanma süreci içinde %50'den daha kısa bir bölümü kapsadığmı göstermektedir. Dizgi-baskı sürecinin 6 aylık bir ortalamaya ulaşması derginin geç çıkmasının başlıca nedeni olmaktadır.
