Perforation of Duodenal Diverticula Treated with Endoscopic Stenting: A Case Report

Diverticula of the duodenum is a little known clinicopathological condition. Although rare, perforation of a duodenal diverticulum is the most serious complication. There is no guideline about the treatment of perforated duodenal diverticulum in literature, since only case reports and small series were presented Surgical approach is accepted as the preferred method for the treatment. On the other hand, the recent treatments of selected cases with bowel rest, nasogastric tube and, antibiotherapy have been encouraging. In this article, we discuss a case treated with endoscopic stent in the light of related literature.

Endoskopik Stentleme Yöntemi ile Tedavi Edilen Duodenal Divertikül Perforasyonu: Olgu Sunumu

Duodenum divertikülü az bilinen klinikopatolojik bir durumdur. Perforasyon, doudenal divertikülün nadir ama aynı zamanda en ciddi komplikasyonudur. Literatürde sadece olgu sunumları ve küçük seriler bildirildiği için perfore doudenal divertikül hakkında yayınlanmış bir cerrahi kılavuz yoktur. Cerrahi yaklaşım, tercih edilen tedavi yöntemi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bununla birlikte son zamanlarda bazı seçilmiş olguların bağırsak istirahati, nazogastrik tüp ve antibiyotik ile tedavi edilmesi cesaret verici durumlardır. Bu makalede endoskopik stentleme yöntemi ile tedavi edilen duodenal divertikül perforasyonlu olgu literatür eşliğinde tartışıldı.
