Macleod's Syndrome With Amyloid Nephropathy: A Case Report

A 32 Year old woman presented with renal failure who has also unilateral hyperlucent lung and hypoplasic hilum at the same side on the chest x-ray. Renal biopsy, ventilation / perfusion scintigraphy and other radiologic studies were performed to establish diagnosis. Renal biopsy showed secondary amyloid nephropathy. Radiologic assessment confirmed the diagnosis of the Macleod's syndrome. This case showed that; Macleod's syndrome can lead amyloid nephropathy unless adequate antibiotheraphy or surgical therapy was performed.

Amiloid Nefropatili Macleod's Sendromu: Olgu Sunumu

Akciğer grafisinde tek taraflı havalanma fazlalığı ve aynı tarafta hipoplazik hilusu olan 32 yaşındaki böbrek yetmezlikli bir kadın başvurdu. Böbrek biyopsisinde amiloid nefropati saptandı. Ventilasyon/perfüzyon sintigrafisi ve diğer radyolojik incelemeler sonucu Macleod's sendromu tanısı kondu. Bu olgu, yeterli antibiyotik tedavisi veya cerrahi tedavi uygulanmadığında Macleod's sendromunun amiloid nefropatiye yol açabileceğini gösterdi.
