Duodeno-Gastro-Esophageal Reflux: How important is it ?

The number of treated patients with gastroesophageal reflux has increased within the last 10 years in both the children and the adults. Awareness of the disease by the clinicians, makes early diagnosis and appropriate treatment possible. Unfortunately, there are a small group of patients whose complaints have not resolved. In this special group, duodeno-gastro-esophageal reflux was diagnosed and they were treated satisfactorily with appropriate treatment modalities. In this report, both the diagnostic and therapeutic modalities are discussed in order to stress over duodeno-gastro-esophageal reflux disease.

Duodeno-Gastro-Özofageal Reflü: Ne kadar önemli ?

Gastroözofageal reflü nedeniyle tedavi altına alınan hasta sayısı hem yetişkinlerde hem de çocuklarda gittikçe artmaktadır. Bu konudaki bilincin artması ile hastalığın erken tanısı ve uygun tedavisi sağlanabilmektedir. Bununla birlikte, bazı gastroözofageal reflü hastalarının şikayetleri düzelmemekte ve hatta ağırlaşmaktadır. Bu gibi hastalarda duodeno-gastro-özofageal reflü (DGÖR) saptanmış ve bu tanıya uygun tedavi yöntemleriyle hastalar başarılı olarak tedavi edilmişlerdir. Bu derleme yazısında, DGÖR üzerine dikkat çekmek için, tanı ve tedavi yaklaşımları tartışılmıştır.
