A Case of Ameloblastoma of The Mandibula

In this article a case 26 year-old female had |a cystic lesion in the right mandible extending from the first molar area to the coronoid process diagnosed as ameloblastoma by the histopathologic examination after the marsupialization with the dentigerous cyst as a preliminary diagnosis was reported. the patient did not accept our proposal for a radical operation for 6 months. After one year from he first operation the lesion, lessened to 1.5 cm, was removed. It was understood that the case was an ameloblastoma on the wall of the cyst. At the end of the ten years follow-up there is no reccurence.

Bu makalede 26 yaşında bir kadın hastamızda sağ mandibuler 1. molar diş ile prosessus koronoideus arasında uzanan bir lezyonun denijeröz kist öntanısı ile marsüpiyalize edilmesinden sonra histopatolojik tetkikte "ameloblastoma" tanısı alan bir olgu sunulmaktadır. Daha radikal bir ameliyat önerisine 6 ay yanıt vermeyen hastanın, bu süre sonraki kontrolünde lezyonun gerilemesi üzerine ilk operasyondan yaklaşık 1 yıl sonra 1.5 cm.'e inen lezyon çıkartıldı. Olgunun kist duvarmda oluşmuş bir ameloblastoma olduğu anlaşıldı. 10 yıllık izlemde hiçbir yineleme bulgusu yoktur.
