The Technique of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Results in 59 Cases

The results of 59 laparoscopic cholecystectomies performed in our clinic in the period of four months between September 1991 and January 1992 were compared with 78 open cholecytestomies performed in the same period. Operating time in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy group (75.6 ± 4.8 min.) was significantly longer than that of open cholecystectomy group (45.5 ±1.7 min.) (T=-5.9,p<0.01) while hospitalization time (2.0 ± 0.2 days) was significantly shorter than that of open cholecystectomy group (8.3 ± 0.3 days) (T = 17.5, p<0.01) There were not any morbidity and mortality in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy cases. The return to active life was in 7 days for laparoscopic cholecystectomy group while it was in 30 - 45 days for open cholecystectomy group. Therefore, we consider that laparoscopic cholecystectomy should be preferred for these advantages in gallbladder surgery.

Laparoskopik Kolesistektomi Tekniği ve 59 Olguda Alınan Sonuçlar

Eylül 1991 ve Ocak 1992 arasındaki dört aylık dönemde kliniğimizde uygulanan 59 laparoskopik kolesistektomi sonuçları, aynı dönem içerisinide uygulanmış 78 açık kolesistektomi sonuçları ile karşılaştırıldı. Laparoskopik kolesistektomi grubunda operasyon süresi (75.6 ± 4.8 dk.), açık kolesistektomi operasyon grubundakinden (45.5 ± 1.7 dk.) istatistiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde uzundur. (T=5.9;pc.o1). Buna karşın hospitalizasyon süresi (2.0 ± 0.1 gün), açık kolesistoktomi grubundakinden (8.3 ± 0.3 gün) anlamlı olarak kısaydı (T=17.5,p<0.01). Laparoskopik kolesistektomi olgularında hiçbir morbidite ve mortalite yoktur. Aktif hayata dönüş, laparoskopik kolesistektomi grubunda 7 gün olmasına karşın açık kolesistektomi grubunda 30-45 gündür. Bu nedenle, laparoskopik kolesistektominin üstünlüklerinden dolayı safra kesesi cerrahisinde tercih edilmesi gerektiği kanısındayız.
