The Importance of IN VIVO and IN VITRO Technics With PPD For The Diagnosis of Childhood Tuberculosis

Tuberculin skin testing is a useful technique that has been extensively used for the diagnosis of tuberculosis lately. Stimulation of lymhocytes with PPD is known to be a sensitive in vitro test that can be ıtsed besides skin testing although it is not that common in clinical practice. During the evaluation of these techniques, special attention should be spent on the circumstances that result in false negative or positive skin tests and besides, irrelevant results that can be due to incomplete standardization of in vitrotests should be helt in mind.

Çocukluk Dönemi Tüberkülozunun Tanısında PPD'li İN VİVO ve İN VİTRO Tekniklerin Önemi

Tüberkülin deri testi, günümüzde tüberküloz tanışma yardımcı bir teknik olarak sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Lenfositlerin PPD ile uyarımı ise henüz klinik pratiğe yerleşmemiş olmasına rağmen tüberkülin deri testinin yanısıra kullanılabilecek, hassas bir test olarak tanınmaktadır. Bu iki teknik birlikte değerlendirilirken özellikle deri testinin yanlış pozitif olduğu durumların iyi ayırdedilmesi gerekmekte, in vitro testlerin ise standardizasyonunun tam olmamasının yol açabileceği sonuçlar önemle gözününde bulundurmalıdır.
