The Effects of Different Temperature Applications on Ischemic Rat Testes

The histopathological changes in testes were investigated during the short period ischemia of testes after cold application or after leaving in room temperature. Thirty rats have been used in this study. Testes have been kept isehemic for periods of 5,15 or 30 minutes. In this period of time the testes of one group were cooled with ice and the left testes of the other group were taken outside the scrotum. Orchiectomy was performed after 60 days and the testes were examined under light microscopy: for the narrowing of the tubulus diameter and the affected tubulus number. Statistical analysis revealed that very short period of isehemia may be harmful to the testicular tissue cold isehemia time was significantly longer than warm isehemia time.

Sıçan İskemik Testisinden Farklı Isı Uygulamasının Etkileri

Testislerin kısa süreli iskemisinde, bu süre içinde soğuk tatbiki ile veya testislerin oda sıcaklığında tutulmasıyla meydana gelen histopatolojik değişiklikler değerlendirildi. Bu çalışmada 30 sıçan kullanıldı. Testisler 5-15-30 dakika süre ile iskemik hale getirildi. Bu süre içinde bir grubun sol testisleri buz ile soğutuldu, diğer gurubun sol testisleride skrotum dışına alındı. 60 gün sonra orşiektomi yapıldı. Testisler, tubulus çapı daralması ve etkilenen tubulus sayısını araştırmak için ışık mikroskobunda incelendi. İstatistiksel değerlendirmeler 5 dakika süreli sıcak iskeminin bile testis dokusuna zarar verebildiğini gösterdi. Soğuk iskemi zamanı, sıcak iskemiye göre daha uzundu.
