Effects of Intrathecaliohexol on Serum Thyroid Hormone Levels

In this study, we investigate the relationships between premyelographic and postmyelographic thyroid hormone levels and the physical and neurological findings in 35 patients after iohexol myelography. Three patients had meningismus and one had acute encephalopathy with the injection of intrathechal iohexol. There were no significant differences between pre and postmyelographic thyroid hormone levels (p>0.05).

İntratekal İoheksol'un Serum Tiroid Hormon Seviyesi Üzerine Etkisi

Çalışmamızda ioheksol ile myelografi yapılan 35 hastanın fizik ve nörolojik muayene sonuçları, myelo öncesi ve sonrası tiroid hormon seviyeleri incelendi. Myelografi sonrası 3 (% 8,57) hastada meningismus ve bir hastada ensefalopati tablosu gelişti. Olguların myelografi öncesi ve sonrası serum tiroid hormon seviyeleri arasında istatistiksel anlamda fark izlenmedi (p > 0.05).
